ESADE BAN is pleased to announce their second Blockchain Investment Forum on Wednesday, May 15th at 9 a.m. at ESADE Barcelona (Av. Pedralbes 60-62).
The unprecedented revolution caused by Blockchain technology in many traditional industries has prompted new business models and investment opportunities. The transparency and immutability of this type of distributed network is transforming areas of business such as digital identity, the certification of the chain of distributors, legal contracts, energy consumption and copyright registration, to name but a few.
But is this technology really necessary? What threats does it pose? In which specific applications does it offer a competitive edge?
The aim of this investment forum is to provide the methods needed to assess projects that use blockchain based on their business model. The first part of the forum will explain what it is, how it works and how it can be used, with special emphasis on what to look for when analysing investment opportunities. This will be followed by presentations of companies in different industries that use blockchain in their operations and are currently actively seeking finance.
