ESADE Alumni is pleased to invite you to this refresher series talk entitled, 'How to become a Business Angel and invest in start-ups', by Fernando Zallo (Lic&Master 83), director of ESADE BAN.

The ESADE BAN Business Angel network is now more than ten years old. Drawing upon the experience accumulated during this period, this talk will address the following areas.

Firstly, investment in start-ups will be considered within the framework of different investment possibilities, followed by an explanation of what Business Angels are, what they do, and the risks involved. 
In order to understand this sector, participants will learn about this little known ecosystem and its key facts and figures.

After describing this ecosystem, participants will learn about ESADE BAN: what it does and how it helps Business Angels invest.

Finally, examples of investment strategies will be discussed along with opportunities that have arisen from the ESADE BAN and ESADE Alumni networks. The session will end by outlining the different types of investor, including the companies involved in corporate venturing recently.

Fernando Zallo, director of ESADE BAN (ESADE Business Angel Network), holds a bachelor and master in business administration (ESADE) and a degree in business administration (Universidad Ramón Llull).

About the Business Angel School
Intensive training course for new or potential Business Angels. During this course, participants will learn the essential practical methods, knowledge and skills needed to ensure returns on their investment. They will also have the opportunity to put theory into practice by attending an ESADE BAN investment forum.
