This will be an interactive session where Prof. Brinckmann will discuss personal lessons learned from launching high-growth companies.

Jan Brinckmann

Dr Jan Brinckmann is a professor of entrepreneurship and strategy at ESADE Business School in its Strategy and General Management Department. He is the director of the Entrepreneurship Lab on the ESADE MBA Programme and director of ESADE’s own accelerator. Before coming to ESADE, he taught at Loyola University Chicago and Cornell University and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and Case Western Reserve University. Dr Brinckmann founded and heads Karma Ventures, a high-tech venture investment and advisory holding. He is a board member of Aklamio, Careesma (Grupo Intercom), Favcorner and Kviar Groupe. He led investments in Juniqe, Red Points, First Stop Health and Icebergs which was recently acquired by Pinterest. Furthermore, Dr Brinckmann is associated with Brains to Ventures, a business angel network from Switzerland and their VC fund. Dr Brinckmann also directs ESADE’s support for the KIC InnoEnergy incubator at ESADE Creapolis. His mission is to empower entrepreneurs. More information in his LinkedIn
