Manon Lescaut, an opera by Giacomo Puccini

Spanish

The ESADE Alumni Cultural and Creative Industries Club is pleased to invite you to their forthcoming talk: “Manon Lescaut, an opera by Giacomo Puccini.”

Manon Lescaut
was Puccini’s first great success. This opera brimming with moments of passion, great arias and two incredible duos is one of the highlights of Italian verismo.

This opera is based on a novel that tells the tale of Manon Lescaut, and which also inspired the opera Manon Lescaut by Daniel Auber and Manon by Jules Massenet.

The Liceu will be premiering a new joint production in conjunction with the San Carlo theatre in Naples and the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, featuring two casts of absolutely first-class singers starring Gregory Kunde and Ludmyla Monastyrska.
