ESADE Alumni Entrepreneurship is holding a talk about startup funding from the venture capital viewpoint. The speaker, Borja Breña, will share his experience as investment manager at Nauta Capital. The talk is scheduled for Monday January 14th 2019 at 19:00 at ESADE Barcelona (Av. Pedralbes 60-62).

The talk will be an interview with questions such as: What is the best way to approach a Venture Capital firm? How can a startup be valuated? What selection criteria do Venture Capital firms apply? What do they not like? Are there standard metrics for VC? Which documents are most important? Do they prefer ambitious or realistic business plans? What role does VC play after making an investment?  What information does a VC firm request?

Borja Breña

Borja Breña is an investment manager at the Barcelona office of Nauta Capital, and focuses on Spanish and Portuguese opportunities.

Borja is a well-known VC investor with international experience in finance, technology and innovation. Prior to joining Nauta in 2018, he was a senior investment manager at the Telefónica corporate venture capital fund. Previously, Borja worked at Kennet Partners, at Barclays Capital as an analyst on the credit trading desk, and as a business consultant at Deloitte UK and Deloitte Spain.

Borja holds an MBA from London Business School, graduated as a telecommunications engineer from Seville University (Spain) and is an Associate Chartered Accountant of the ICAEW (UK). He currently resides in Madrid.
