People management in digital environments: opportunities and threats

Spanish

ESADE Alumni Entrepreneurship is pleased to announce a talk about people management in digital environments on Tuesday October 1st 2019 by María Barceló, director of the Executive Master in Digital Business at ESADE Madrid and academic assistant in the department of operations, innovation and data science.

This event will address issues related to people management in digital environments such as how digital change affects human resources, and the new challenges that digital change poses for people and their short- and medium-term employability in traditional firms, new companies and start-ups.

Digital change is brought about by people. Transformational projects with a digital focus are only possible with appropriate people management. This is why Lean, Lean start-up and Agile approaches are increasingly used to contribute to change management and business transformation.

Furthermore, digitisation questions the types of employment known today and gives rise to dilemmas ranging from precarious jobs to possible job losses caused by the increased use of robots.
