How do you make a presentation assertive, convincing and captivating? Two key ingredients: compelling content and a vibrant delivery. In addition to a well-structured “what to say”, the speaker should ensure a seamless “how to say it” to create a positive, long-lasting impact upon the audience. An effective use of body language and voice is critical to achieve that goal. For instance, the voice helps highlight a word or group of words (paralanguage) while “mini” moments of silence punctuate their flow to increase clarity.
