July 03 OF 2019 from 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM

The ESADE Alumni Energy and Environment Club are pleased to invite you to “The energy transition. Challenges facing Red Eléctrica de España,” a talk by Jordi Sevilla, chairman of the Red Eléctrica group.

The energy transition will change the generation, distribution and consumption of electricity completely as the linear electrical system shifts to an on-line, interactive system. A successful energy transition in Spain calls for financial resources and expertise from the electricity industry in general and from Red Eléctrica de España (REE) in particular, this being a company with a key role in the transformation of the energy sector. At the moment, our main responsibility is to facilitate the energy transition according to the terms set forth by the regulator, but additionally and unavoidably, the transition will change REE’s operating criteria. Hence the energy transition opens up an exceptional period of time and action for REE, a period that will impact directly on the transmission and network operator.
