First-generation family firms: how to turn a family project into a business venture

Conferencia | Spanish

November 25 OF 2019 from 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM

A company is often not considered to be a family firm until the second generation takes the helm. As a result we seldom hear about such firms and their experiences in their early years: a factor of crucial importance for their continuity.

This session will discuss two family firms set up by several siblings who now own and run the companies. Industrial companies well-established locally and highly active on the international scene. Neither company is more than 35 years old and yet both are leaders in their sectors and have maintained the values and DNA of a family firm.

Two speakers, each a company founder, will explain what drove them to become entrepreneurs, how they strike a family/firm balance, the challenges and difficulties they have encountered, and how they see the future of the company and their family bonds.

The ESADE Alumni Family Firm is pleased to invite you to this talk entitled, “First-generation family firms: how to turn a family project into a business venture.”
