The ESADE Alumni Hamburg Chapter would like to invite you to their next event with professor Jan Brinckmann, Director of the ESADE Entrepreneurship Lab and Academic Director of the ESADE Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship on tuesday June 19th at 7pm: Identifying Business Opportunities for High-Growth Ventures

Prof. Brinckmann’s talk will focus on developments in the new venture/corporate venturing space. We will discuss recent developments and also have a successful entrepreneur as a guest speaker to address where exciting business opportunities are and how to pursue them. The session will be interactive. Prof. Brinckmann will also update participants about recent progress in the entrepreneurship space at ESADE and how they can keep involved.

We will have three main invited speakers to accompany Jan Brinckan in this talk:

-    Wilfried Beeck is the founder and CEO of ePages. He also co-founded Intershop in 1992 and managed its hugely successful IPO in 1998.
-    Thomas Promny (Performance Marketing Thought Leader and Core Conference organizer). Thomas Promny is an entrepreneur from Hamburg. He calls himself a „learning-by-doing“and a parallel entrepreneur because he always runs several businesses at the same time.
-    Matthias Protzmann (Serial entrepreneur in the Content Marketing Space). Entrepreneur and Founder of Statista, Content Fleet and others. AI, data and product driven.

 

 

Jan Brinckmann

Dr Jan Brinckmann is a professor of entrepreneurship and strategy at ESADE Business School in its Strategy and General Management Department. He is the director of the Entrepreneurship Lab on the ESADE MBA Programme and director of ESADE’s own accelerator. Before coming to ESADE, he taught at Loyola University Chicago and Cornell University and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and Case Western Reserve University. Dr Brinckmann founded and heads Karma Ventures, a high-tech venture investment and advisory holding. He is a board member of Aklamio, Careesma (Grupo Intercom), Favcorner and Kviar Groupe. He led investments in Juniqe, Red Points, First Stop Health and Icebergs which was recently acquired by Pinterest. Furthermore, Dr Brinckmann is associated with Brains to Ventures, a business angel network from Switzerland and their VC fund. Dr Brinckmann also directs ESADE’s support for the KIC InnoEnergy incubator at ESADE Creapolis. His mission is to empower entrepreneurs.
