'Leadership and fear: a very constructive relationship?', With Jorge Cuervo (MBA 86)

Spanish

The ESADE Asturias Alumni Club invites you to this talk about the relationship between fear and leadership and how this affects your ability to have an impact on others and teams. In times of increasing uncertainty and accelerating change, these aspects are of paramount importance in people management.

The obstacle to leadership is not fear itself but the fact that you do not know how to respond to fear. It is surprising to discover that good fear management can make you aware and help you think clearly! As a result, fear can contribute greatly to enhancing your self-leadership – the source of your impact upon others. This talk will also reveal that you already have the knowledge and techniques to achieve this.

The speaker will be Jorge Cuervo (MBA 86), author of the books Leaders don’t command and Qué hacer con tus miedos published recently. In course of his multi-facetted career, which began as a technician, continued as a marketing and sales manager, and finally led to being a coach, Jorge has created a personal approach to team management and leadership which he has embodied in his books. He now focuses on executive coaching, team development and leadership training.
