June 20 OF 2023 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM

Esade Alumni is pleased to invite you to a session entitled “A new age of geopolitical risk and its impact on business”, led by Ángel Pascual-Ramsay, Director of Global Risks at the Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics (EsadeGeo) and Professor in the Department of General Management and Strategy.

Even before the war in Ukraine the global geopolitical tectonic plaques had started shifting, heralding a new age of geopolitical fragmentation and potential conflict. This new reality is giving rise to a whole new set of risks and opportunities that are profoundly reshaping the context within which executives and investors will have to operate. In this increasingly challenging business context, managers and firms are unlikely to obtain a competitive advantage from the knowledge and application of business tools which everyone else commands. It is more likely to come from the development of an above the average ability to think critically and holistically, and to be forward-looking about this new geopolitical reality. An essential component of this will be the ability to identify current geopolitical trends, understand how they interact with each other and assess the possible scenarios they may take our economies and societies into. This session will help in that process.
