In the first quarter of 2020, units of core services in the vice president’s office and the departments of economy and treasury, digital policies, public administration, justice and certain business and knowledge units will begin to be moved from the city centre to the new complex known as the Administration District in the Marina de Port district of Barcelona.
Is this simply a change of offices or something more? An attempt to streamline finances or a more far-reaching, strategic project?
These are just some of the questions that will be answered during the guided tour of the new offices led by Àngel Cortadelles (EMPA 14), secretary of the regional delegation of the Govern of the Generalitat in Barcelona and director of the implementation programme of phase one of the Administration District of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
This will also be a chance to compare the project with the space management and innovation experience of the Vallès Oriental County Council, explained by their secretary Jordi Vendrell (EMPA 15).
