Thanks to new collaboration agreements, Esade Alumni is offering two new services – financial advice and access to public funding – that will help alumni develop their entrepreneurial project
Financial advice
Under the agreement reached with Delvy, alumni can schedule personalised sessions with financial analysts. These specialists can provide the necessary resources to help startups draft financial forecasts and develop a rigorous business plan.
With a track record stretching back more than 10 years, Delvy specialises in working with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Over the past decade, the firm has supported innovation and entrepreneurship by providing legal and financial advice to entrepreneurs, startups, venture capitalists, venture builders, accelerators and incubators, both in Spain and at the international level. Delvy has a team of more than 70 people dedicated exclusively to the creation and development of business projects in Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga, Pontevedra, Andorra and Mexico City.
“From day one, Delvy has positioned itself as a 360° ally of entrepreneurs, providing guidance to startups by covering all of their legal, financial and tax needs,” explained Simón Pérez, Partner and CFO at Delvy. “The agreement with Esade Alumni allows us to strengthen this commitment to entrepreneurship while also adding value to the community and fostering the creation and development of innovative projects.”
Consultations with Delvy may focus on any of the following areas: business plans (feasibility of business models, financial modelling, decision-making, etc.), cash management (assessment of cash burn rate, runway, peak funding and ways to act on financial needs) or financial strategies (fundraising, debt, revenue-based financing, venture debt, etc.). “Besides guiding and advising people who want to start a business, we also offer technical knowledge as well as knowledge of market standards in similar operations, which can be a game changer in many cases,” added Pérez. “In short, we support the decision-making process that will determine the success of the project.”

The decision to work with Delvy is based on the firm’s alignment with the values and aims of Esade Alumni, specifically a strong social commitment and a shared desire to promote and encourage entrepreneurship by generating a favourable environment for the creation and successful development of emerging business projects.
Access to public funding
Under the agreement reached with Ubach Munné, alumni will be able to find sources of public funding to develop their new projects. Ubach Munné, a consulting firm specialised in public funding in Spain and Europe as well as tax and law services for innovative projects, will provide information on grants and subsidies, both in Spain and at the international level; tax incentives according to each company’s activity; financial resources (public loans or alternative funding sources); and European projects.
“Under this collaboration agreement, we will help Esade Alumni members access new sources of funding and resources to help them develop their business projects,” commented Albert Saborido, Strategy and Communication Director at Ubach Munné. “This applies both to startups in the early stages and to companies of any size at any point in their life cycle. Public funding is an indispensable and accessible element for most companies with innovative projects. Our mission is to make public funding more visible and propose bespoke strategies to Esade Alumni members.”
"We can increase the alumni community’s access to the network of regional, national and supranational – i.e. European – public funding agencies, programmes and opportunities"
He added: “With more than 30 years of experience in the field of grants, subsidies, tax incentives and access to public and semi-public financial resources, we are able to add value for any entrepreneur and any project. We can increase the alumni community’s access to the network of regional, national and supranational – i.e. European – public funding agencies, programmes and opportunities. We also have partners in various countries throughout Europe, as well as in the United States, so we are able to offer services to transnational clients as well as those with permanent offices abroad.”
Like Delvy, Ubach Munné is aligned with Esade Alumni's ethical and responsible approach to business and is committed to helping companies develop projects that are not only innovative but also sustainable and conducive to social and environmental well-being.
