Young Annual Event, 2nd Edition: An evening of networking and celebration

After the resounding success of the first edition, Esade Alumni once again gathered its young alumni to share an evening of networking, celebration, and inspiration.
Young Event

The Young Annual Event is a gathering that revolves around exclusivity, because welcomes prominent professionals and young leaders in their respective fields in an atmosphere designed for networking and the exchange of ideas, but also for celebration and fun, enabling participants to both share experiences and explore professional opportunities.

This year, the event was held again at Barcelona’s Torre les Lleons and was sponsored by Yamaha, which supports the activities targeted at the young community, and by Estrella Damm. Thus, some alumni were returning to this place full of memories, where they had spent unforgettable moments during their time at Esade, like the traditional paso de ecuador (halfway point) [MB1] and their graduation party, while others were discovering it for the first time. Upon their arrival, the guests were given a welcome drink and enjoyed the live music of Nuria Cortacans (BBA 21), whose warm voice gave the venue a special touch.

The evening began with a friendly check-in, when the participants were given a colored bracelet which later enabled them to get into groups with other alumni and current students with whom they shared professional interests.

Young people: The engine of the Esade Alumni community

One of the most exciting times in the evening was the interview that Paula García (MMM ‘19), president of Esade Young Alumni, held with Sara Pastor (Lic&MBA ‘05 / Promociona ’20), Senior Vice President Media Spain & Portugal at DAZN and president of the Esade Alumni Business Innovation & Technologies Club, who talked about her impressive career. Pastor encouraged the participants to get actively involved in the Esade Alumni community to expand their network of contacts and take advantage of the many opportunities afforded by this type of event. She stressed the importance of curiosity and exploration as essential to business growth, in addition to valuing nonlinear career paths. She also suggested using the four P’s when searching for a job – Project, Pay, People, and Purpose – given that they offer a balanced approach to evaluating professional opportunities.

“When participating in events like the Young Annual Event, young alumni learn what it means to be part of a community”

The evening continued with a series of networking activities organized by Dreams & Adventures which were designed to break the ice and encourage new connections among participants. The Finding Expertise activity enabled them to hold a series of brief meetings with groups of five people to discover each member’s strong points and seek interesting synergies for everyone.

The evening’s finishing touch was the lively party with a DJ, which closed this year’s edition of the Young Annual Event in a festive, energy-filled atmosphere.

Young alumni are the future of Esade. Their energy, innovation, and fresh perspectives hugely enrich the community, and events like the Young Annual Event are essential in encouraging their commitment. When participating in events like this one, young alumni not only learn what it means to be part of Esade Alumni but also become active change agents by contributing their ideas and knowledge to build a stronger and more dynamic community. Their commitment and participation ensure the community’s continuity and growth.
