The 2025 Esade Sustainability Awards reward our community’s social impact

This award attests to Esade Alumni Social’s commitment to create a fairer and more sustainable world and acknowledges the efforts and dedication of so many alumni (over 4,000 from the beginning) who actively participate in its volunteer programs year after year.

At an event that celebrated the advances of the entire Esade community, Isabel Rallo, director of Esade Alumni Social, received the award on behalf of the entire Alumni team and each of the volunteers that has participated since the first edition, sharing their knowledge and experience with dedication and determination to serve the nonprofit organizations that have been the beneficiaries of our more charitable programs.

This 2024-25 academic year, Esade Alumni Social has more than 500 alumni involved in a range of initiatives. The Giving-Back Consultants program is advising 47 projects with the participation of 350 alumni, not only in different cities in Spain but also internationally. The Together Program has 14 active projects and 24 volunteers promoting the productive economy in developing countries. Designing Opportunities, an online innovation format, has 78 volunteers supporting social economy entrepreneurship. They are joined by two Hackathons with 80 alumni this year, who worked together under the collective intelligence model to propose solutions to the challenges facing the beneficiary NGO’s. All told, every year more than 20,000 hours of knowledge are being altruistically volunteered to create a positive social impact on behalf of a fairer and more sustainable world.

Esade Sustainability Week 2025: A renewed commitment

The 5th Esade Sustainability Week 2025, held from February 17 to 23, was a space to reflect on the role of leadership, dignity, and collective action in sustainable transformation. The week was a resounding success, with the participation of more than 600 people and the inclusion of sustainability contents in 46 classes.

The first edition of the Sustainability Awards was held during Sustainability Week to reward the most important initiatives in each of the commitments within the Esade Sustainability Plan. In addition to Esade Alumni Social, the efforts in areas like Research, Education, and Social Debate; Commitment to Society, Community, and Alliances; Planet; People; and Governance and Culture were recognized.
