Alumni Share Their Career Week Experiences

The first edition of Career Week was a great networking and development experience for members of our community, both in Spain and internationally
Career Week

Esade Alumni recently held the first edition of Career Week, a week of in-person activities and events, webinars, debates and networking sessions designed to help alumni advance in their professional development.

Running from 4th to 8th April, Career Week was an opportunity for all alumni to grow as leaders and discover new market opportunities, thanks to more than 30 in-person and online sessions, in Spanish and English, held simultaneously in more than a dozen cities across the globe.

One of the hallmarks of the event was its transversal organisation, which sought to include the entire community by involving alumni and students from Esade Alumni’s various international chapters, interest clubs and regional clubs.

Whether as a member of a club or chapter, as a participant in a social project, as an investor or as an entrepreneur, Career Week events allowed alumni to share experiences and learn from one another, thereby contributing to business and social progress.

Alumni share their experiences

Marcos Serra (PMD 19)

Marcos Serra“I attended Career Week because it seemed like an amazing way to learn first-hand about key issues related to my career. I attended a very interesting ‘breakfast with headhunters’ session, where we were able to speak with experienced headhunters who shared their points of view, their assessments, recommendations, etc. Afterwards, I was able to make personal contact with several headhunters over breakfast.”

Susana Mediero (CGA 19)

Susana Mediero“The main reason I attended Career Week was to update my knowledge. After more than a decade in my current position, I felt like it was time to seek out new professional horizons that represent both opportunities and challenges. I had the opportunity to attend talks, meetings and workshops. I especially enjoyed the workshop where I learned how to develop a professional message that will help me stand out and also the coffee break with headhunters, where I was able to learn first-hand about the reality of the Spanish job market.”

Claudia Gutuleac (Advanced  Marketing Strategy 19)

Claudia Gutuleac"Career Week was an excellent opportunity to make contact with recruiters and gain a better understanding of how recruitment processes work at Spanish companies. The event gave me the opportunity to meet and network with Esade alumni, while also expanding my network in Barcelona for future collaborations.”
