Coffee Break by Esade

Coffee Break by Esade Executive Education is the Esade spot where coffee teams up with great ideas. It’s a new space of spontaneous conversations with our faculty, where academic and real-life experiences come together. Coffee Break by Esade aims to celebrate a community that believes in dialogue, learning, and excellence of the top Esade faculty and students.

In the first Coffee Break by Esade Executive Education episode, we’re going to delve into the exciting universe of artificial intelligence (AI) with Irene Unceta, academic director of Esade’s Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence for Business. Talking with Marc Gelabert, director of Admissions and Marketing at Esade Executive Education, Irene will guide us on a tour of the world of AI to explore its relationship with ethics, data, and social impact and reveal how this technology is redefining not only the way we work and learn but also how we live and interact.

In Irene Unceta’s opinion, “it is our responsibility to be prepared for the scenarios posed by AI, since it’s a phenomenon that we have generated ourselves.” For that reason, our first job is to delimit its scope, sit down with the available tools to find out what they are capable of and lose our fear of them, and define the purpose for which we design or use AI. Unceta also weighs the environmental and social impact of its development and says that this is a dimension we should bear in mind. “I would like a more conscious, inclusive, and diverse stage in the technology’s development to come,” she says.
