The Esade Alumni General Assembly was held to take stock of the achievements in academic year 2024-2025 and define the strategic priorities for academic year 2025-2026

The meeting was presided over by Daniel Sánchez (Lic&MBA 92), who is leaving the association after completing his three-year term. “I am very pleased with the goals we have reached, the teamwork, and the Board of Directors,” he said with satisfaction. Participants with him included Patricia Valentí (MBA 02 / Promociona 17), director of Esade Alumni; Isabel Ferrer (Lic&MBA 95), general secretary of the Board of Directors; and David Cerqueda (Lic&MBA 98), treasurer.
Milestones of academic year 2024-2025
Patricia Valentí started the session by thanking Daniel Sánchez and the Board of Directors for their dedication and help in achieving the goals. “We on the Esade Alumni team feel very supported in our day-to-day work and learn from all of your expertise.”
The results of academic year 2024-2025 reflect the association’s intense activity and impact. In the generation of knowledge and social debate, 547 activities were held with 22,327 participants. In the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship, Esade BAN and its 214 business angels invested 2.8 million euros and assisted 336 projects. The promotion of the third sector was also highlighted through Esade Alumni Social and its Giving-back Consultants program, which supported 47 domestic and international projects through the efforts of 600 volunteers.
Patricia Valentí also highlighted the initiatives aimed at promoting international expansion and strengthening connections with young members, goals which remain top priority for the association. She also outlined new developments such as the Global Governance Club, community-focused Mentoring, the international Annual Meetings (which were held in Dubai, New York, and Zurich this year), the WhatsApp channel where alumni can subscribe to receive information, and the improvements in achieving recognition as a public-utility association and the automated generation of donation certificates.
And in line with the current strategic plan, she announced the main challenges for academic year 2025-2026, including redefining the interest clubs to turn them into true alumni communities, creating a more conversational website, developing a joint project with Esade to boost the engagement of alumni living outside Spain, and launching the new Social Club, dovetailing with Esade Alumni Social’s twentieth anniversary.
Taking stock economically

Regarding Esade Alumni’s economic health, which was presented by David Cerqueda, the association closed academic year 2024-2025, which runs from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, with a positive balance of €46,390, with 79% of income from membership fees and 21% from operating income., there was an adaptation between expenditures and income that enabled the association to maintain a balanced budget.
Regarding the budget for income and expenditures for academic year 2025-2026, David Cerqueda explained that it will vary little and the goal is an end result with balanced income and expenditures. After that, the proposal to update the association’s annual fees to match the change in the CPI was presented.
After activities report, the accounts, and the management of the Board of Directors in 2024-2025 and the budget for 2025-2026 were approved, articles 12 and 21 of the bylaws were amended and the Board of Directors was partially renewed, specifically two of its members.
Once the presentations and the comment and question time were over, the participants applauded Daniel Sánchez. This unanimous recognition closed the event, reflecting the alumni’s appreciation for the outgoing president’s efforts and dedication.
